Is the Lean Black Belt Certification Test Difficult?
Six Sigma Lean Black Belt Professionals must function at a high level within an organization.  It is important for Lean Professionals to have a solid understanding of the related principles so that they can properly analyze waste components and create a value stream.  They must also have a solid understanding of the related principles of Six Sigma so that they can lead a functional team.  This test is open book, however it is also timed, so you will not have much time to look up answers to questions.  It is very important that you study and understand the material prior to taking the test or you will not pass..

How in-depth is the training?
The Six Sigma Lean Black Belt course, by definition, is a high-level certification.  It is designed to give you a solid understanding of most facets of Six Sigma.  This also includes an understanding of Lean processes and how it is used in conjunction with Six Sigma.  It does not require a project to complete.  This professional development course was designed to teach someone with little knowledge of Six Sigma the basic skills needed to function as a Lean Black Belt on a Six Sigma team.  All required training material is included with the cost of the exam.  Additional learning material can be purchased from our resource center if needed, but it is not required.  Many executive jobs today require that their employees have at least a basic understanding of Six Sigma.  For an example, click on this [Job Search] link to see how many positions mention the words "Lean Six Sigma Black Belt".

How long is the training course?
The training course is self-paced. Time to complete and fully comprehend will vary with every individual. It may take several days or weeks of study before you feel comfortable to take the final test. You may take the final exam as soon as you're ready. You have 1 year from the date of purchase to complete the course.

Professional Competency Units (PCU):
Participants who successfully complete this certificate  program will receive 30 Professional Competency Units  (PCUs) from MSI.
